As the temperature in Topanga Canyon reached 119 degrees, my phone buzzed nonstop with calls from nearly every vendor. They were going to be late—the heat would wilt the flowers, overheat the DJ equipment, and spoil the hors d'oeuvres. Traffic delayed everyone further, with half the vendor team arriving a mere 30 minutes prior to the ceremony. One HVAC mishap and EMS call later (don’t ask), it seemed like everything that could have gone wrong, did.
But my couple? They didn’t have a clue. I laughed at the end of the night, my forehead slick with sweat and adrenaline still racing, as the bride told me:

No wedding has presented as many disasters since (thank goodness), but my team and I are ready to spring into action no matter what comes our way. Our backup plans have backup plans, and we thrive in the chaos so you don’t have to.
In the Details was born from my love of the hustle and bustle of large-scale, elevated events. While working as a banquet server in college, I was immediately captivated by the design and execution of the elite events I witnessed. Eager to immerse myself in the industry more, I joined a premier venue in Denver as an event assistant where I learned the ins and outs of producing a successful event.
From there, I became the presentation coordinator for the Colorado Rapids, Denver's Major League soccer team. I coordinated both internal and public-facing events, sometimes for tens of thousands of attendees! When I eventually returned home to California, a new dream took shape: to launch my own planning business producing design-forward events from beginning to end. Today, I bring over a decade of well-rounded event experience to every celebration, and love every moment of it!
